On 30.03.2020, the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo* approved an Urgent Fiscal Package, as follows:

• Financial assistance payment was doubled for all its recipients for April and May 2020, containing a sum of 7.65 million EUR and including payment for March.
•  Additional payment of 30 EUR monthly (for April, May and June) for all individuals who benefit from social schemes and pensions and whose usual monthly payment is equal or less than 100 EUR. This package reaches a total of 13 million EUR and includes individuals whose support had been cut due to no-show or no-assessment

For business entities

• Covering the expenses of salary payments to a monthly amount of EUR 170 for April and May (total package: EUR 41 million)
• Subsidy of up to 50% for rent for small and medium-sized enterprises for April and May (total package: EUR 12 million)
• Covering the value of pension contributions of salaries for April and May (total package: EUR 8 million)
• Loan offerings with no interest for public enterprises in financial distress due to the public health emergency, in order to ensure their temporary liquidity and with repayment deadline until 31.12.2020, with a value of up to EUR 20 million.
• Ensuring financial support for the Communes of Kosovo* with a value of up to EUR 10 million.
• Ensuring the payment of an extra amount of EUR 300 for employees in the terrain who were directly exposed to the virus due to their work: Medical staff (doctors and nurses), policemen/women of the Police of Kosovo*, employees of the Correctional Service, firefighters, militaries of the Military Force of Kosovo*, employees of quarantine services, inspectors of the Tax Office and of commercial subjects, employees of the Customs and of the Inspectorate of Occupational Medicine for April and May, with a total value of up to EUR 15 million.
• Additional payment of EUR 100 for employees of alimentary shops, bakeries and pharmacies for April and May, with a value of up to EUR 3 million.
• Payment of monthly financial assistance of 130 EUR for citizens who lose their employment due to the health emergency, for April, May and June, with a value of up to EUR 4 million.
• Support to initiatives that aim to improve the life quality of non-majority communities in Kosovo* that have been hard hit by the health emergency, value up to EUR 2 million.
• Ensuring financial liquidity for:
• Micro-enterprises and the self-employed, with the sum of EUR 10 000 for the 24-month period up until EUR 15 million.
• Commercial associations/companies authorised to offer basic services (similar to those of public enterprises), with a repayment deadline of 31.12.2020.
• Increase of the amount of subsidiaries foreseen by the budget for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, with a value of up to EUR 5 million.
•  Support for exporters to Kosovo*, after the end of the emergency with a value of up to EUR 10 million.
• Financial support for commercial companies that register employees with a work contract of 1 year or more during the health emergency period with a value of EUR 130 in the two months succeeding registration, with a value of up to EUR 6 million.
• Payment of monthly assistance with a value of EUR 130 for April, May and June for citizens in severe social conditions, registered as unemployed and that do not otherwise receive any benefit from the state budget of Kosovo*, with a value of up to EUR 3 million.
